Abortions are carried out legally and illegally placing the long term physical and emotional health of the woman or girl at extreme risk.

The moral issue is to preserve life and the quality of life..I live in a part of the world which has one of the highest teenage pregnacy rates in Europe...this should not be the case.

Sexually active young people need to take responsibilty for themselves and their partners.

I use partner to refer to the person you engage sexually with.

The legal age of consent is still sixteen in the UK, yet we have young girls 12 and 13 years with pregnacies and sexually transmitted diseases.

Motherhood is hard work....I am a the kind of mother who forgets about the role of dads...although I have two children by different partners, and was married for twelve years.
Twenty years plus of feminism shape my thinking first, I make no apologies for standing as the last English Suffragette..( at this time, I hope more will follow)

Whether a young person is a fit mother is emotive....whether I am a fit mother is probably as questionable.

My daughters however are stuck with me..to be their mother all I had to do was give birth to them..and I still have the scars to prove it was me ..

Parenting is tough even for the educated, skilled and economically priveleged..It is about creating a good life for children .....
Parenting requires community and governmental support.... which means is not closing the nations eyes to pro life choices and I mean contraception ,safe abortion and conscious planning for children.

Not to mention HIV prevention and the control of sexually transmitted diseases...PRO LIFE EDUCATION IS the moral High ground.

.....regardless of crede culture or religeous belief. EUGENICS if that is what creating a conscious popultion is equated to, is relevent as an intellegent argument....and er..what did Hitler actually want for his people and why?

It is time to put propaganda to one side..and to take an intelligent view of history, war, disease and societies..

for all our daughter s and sons..and mums and dads...and grannies..and grandpas...and single /married gay and lesbians lol.....and oh you over there who I forgot to mention..
